St. Peter's Lutheran Church Our Mission
Embracing
the world around us with the love of Jesus
Christ. |
Look
No More. Your Are Welcome Here.
St.Peters Lutheran
Curch welcomes everyone! We believe God's
word which says, "I have loved you with an
everlasting love; I have ran you with
loving kindness." (Jeremiah 31:3)
This wonderful promise from God Himself assures us
that in His presence there is peace for our soul
and strength for our spirit. We invite you to
join us for worship and praise. God is certainly
worthy of our adoration for He sent His onlY Son Jesus
Christ to win for us salvation and grant all who
confess His name eternal life. Come just as
you are St.Peters Welcome you into the House of
God..
Music
is a vital part of worshipping God and serving others at St
Peters . We believe that:Music should not be boring. Make it
uplifting. Music's primary role is to help the congregation
worship God wholeheartedly. Musicians can help the congregation sing
with enthusiasm. Musicians must be seen as servants and not
performers. Music must point us Jesus and His Word. Music
opportunities. At St.Peters music is seen as a God-given gift,
but it is only the means, not the end. We want our members and
guests to actively participate in songs, spoken responses and
prayers. We want them to see worship as their offering to God -
giving Him their best. This would be hard to do if worship was
perceived as a boring ritual done out of duty. Half-heated
praise is not praise at all. In order for our worship to remain
vibrant and for our attendance to grow, we had to redesign our
format. Our doctrine hasn't changed, but our methods of presenting
and "packaging" the message have been revised. Our goal is to
honor God and present His Word clearly in each part of the service.
Our prayer is that our members be strengthened in their faith
and our guests find their need for a Savior in Jesus
alone.
BAPTISM
Jesus,the
eternal Son of God, commanded baptism as the miraculous mark
connecting the baptized
person to Him as their Lord and Savior. When
a person is baptized, the
Bible
says that they are placed (1) into Christ and (2) into His body, the
church. Because baptism is "into the body of
believers," we celebrate this miracle with
members and their offspring and with non-members and their
families. We ask
that
non-members attend worship and Bible class two times prior to their
child's baptism into Jesus and into his body.
.

"May peace reign in the heart of every
man and woman as they learn to accept and forgive each other in
love" ~ Mothe Teresa
